The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University (AU) is currently seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, to serve as the Director of Assurance in Medicine (AIM) Program (administrative post), who will oversee and manage a comprehensive early assurance pathway program designed to support Georgia junior and senior college students as they prepare for medical school at MCG. The program will offer a multi-faceted approach to developing participants' academic and clinical competencies, with a focus on strengthening their scientific knowledge foundation, critical reasoning skills, and professional identity formation. The Director will be responsible for overseeing two four-week summer experiences, conducting quarterly virtual educational/professional development meetings, coordinating clinical experiences for participants in their local areas, and ensuring that participants receive ongoing guidance throughout their pre-medical journey. In addition, the Director will play a critical role in recruiting participants, mentoring them through MCAT preparation, and tracking longitudinal outcomes once they matriculate into medical school. This position is part of the MCG Office of Admissions and reports directly to the Senior Associate Dean for Admissions. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.
